Grateful for 5 unexpected minutes

Sometimes, when you least expect it, one can find themselves caught up in an unexpected moment of joy or connection with their teenage daughter.

My beautiful daughter, Hannah, and I stopped off at a antique shop on our way to meet her dad so she could go back to the east side of the state after spending the weekend here. We popped in specifically to look at the vintage jewelry for possible Easter basket gifts, but ended up running across a fun house mirror. We spent a good five minutes laughing and taking pictures, and for those 5 minutes, I was no longer the annoying, you can’t control me,  you never do anything for me, you don’t understand me, mean, you are ruining my life Mom and she was no longer the you scare me to death, what am I going to do with her, rebellious, teenage daughter. We were two friends laughing and enjoying being together.

I am grateful for those 5 unexpected minutes of time.  This is what I would call my Kairos Time.  I guess you still have those no matter what age your children are.

  1. Unquestionably imagine that which you stated.
Your favourite reason seemed to be on the internet the
simplest thing to bear in mind of. I say to
you, I definitely get irked at the same time as other
people consider issues that they plainly don’t recognize about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the
entire thing with no need side-effects , folks can take a signal.
Will likely be again to get more. Thanks
